During this class, I've learned a lot. Not only the class experience is full of fun, but also the class is informative and helpful.
I created this blog during the this class. My topic of the blog is "Amazon Rainforest". When studying the topic, I identified how current issues can impact the international travel industry and how historical approaches are relevant to contemporary issues.
Specifically, different perspectives existing within Amazon is studied. These include perspectives of the host community residents, locally owned travel businesses, national/government agencies, global corporations, and the international tourist. For example, the Amazon Rainforest Family Program, the Green Resorts. Besides these, I also developed my writing skills. Specifically, two written reflections are revised incorporating the instructor's feedback and comments from the writing team. Also, I leaned to utilized the online resources to improve my writing skills, incorporate photographs from the Internet, information from electronic journals, , and multi-media.
The instructor taught us how to use the infographics to create poster. I think it's very useful. I will use this online platform in the future. The pinterest is also helpful in social media marketing. As I plan to find a job in marketing. I consider this very important to me.
All in all, this class is not just a international tourism class, it combines international tourism with various types of social media. And social media is a current fashion that everyone is using today! As a student major in tourism, I really benefit a lot from this class. Thank you Dr. Linda Ralston!
